SUMMER SCHOOL 2001

Let me tell you a tale of a school held in summer
and of two leaders who acted like a puppa and mumma
to 21 Lutherans from all over the world
who will never forget their Franconian drawl.

The leaders we speak of are Philip and Jutta
There's no one on earth that's ever been beauter
They've told us of wiolence and willages and wickers
They've shared from their own lives as one airs their knickers.

The village we've come to know and love now
Has the funny old name of Neuendettelsau
But it's not very new, dettol belongs in Australia
And as for the sow, we've still yet to find 'er.

The group it consisted of the creme de la creme
but none of them were called Ham, Japheth or Shem
Instead we had Gloria, Ann, Royan and Babu
William, Jasten, Alfred and who could forget or pronounce Au Sze

Rebecca and Peter and Peter and Jean
along with Margaret and Bishop who laughed on and on
Hofagao and Zaza, Oziel and Chandran,
Bekure the first pastor from Ethiopia who wasn't a man.

Denise and deKeith, deones from down under
deserve to be left off dis list so dere!

There's one more person we won't forget to mention
It's Anneliese we'd like to bring to your attention
Her skills in the office were only surpassed
By Brazil in the soccer, O damn and O blast!

There's just one announcement said Philip each day, Ja?
We going to be on time Ja? And keep on our way. Ja?
Jutta's translations were word for word perfect
but of course when a interpretation was required she just added one, even though the person hadn't actually said anything like it, yet the transition remained almost without defect.

But for your kindness and love and long suffering patience
We can never thank you enough or your family relations
So may our God go with you in whatever your choose
And fill you with all his blessings (and just a little booze).
