... AND ENDS

Back in Hong Kong, we slept in, and then headed out to the park over the road from where Mark and Cathy live (remember last time we walked to the dam with the huge goldfish?). This time we planned to do a circuit - over Stanley Mountain - only 480 metres high. It took 3 hours (and we caught the taxi back from the bottom of the mountain.) Jan will tell you there were 3 billion steps, that it was the hottest day ever, and that sweat poured from our bodies like .... sweat. But the truth is that there were only a few thousand steps, it could have been hotter because it was overcast, and sweat did pour from our bodies like .... sweat.

That evening Mark and Cathy treated us to more wonderful traditional Chinese food, (we drank a lot of tea I can tell you) a night time trip on the harbour (fantastic), a one hour tram trip (on the top deck) back home, and a very good sleep.

Next morning we went into town for some last minute shopping, Japanese food, a little more shopping, and then back home to pack. A couple of hours later, Mark drove us to the Airport Express where we checked in, only to discover that we'd left my laptop computer in the boot of Mark's car. A rushed phone call had him back in no time, and before we KNEW it we were back in Ipswich eating Pizza for tea, and unpacking.

In closing, to sum up everything, there is really only one thing I can say, "Get a passport and GO".
